Risk managers must be among the best marketing and sales professionals on the planet. Their programs are only as effective as the willingness of employees to follow to them. Risk managers must persuade people to wear safety goggles, wipe up spills on the floor, and use proper lifting techniques. Should an accident occur, risk managers must encourage employees to report incidents immediately, explain expectations associated with the claims process, and foster a safe and speedy return to work. Risk managers must also communicate the results of their programs to executives to ensure their risk management initiatives are properly funded. This will allow them to maintain current programs and invest in future improvements. This session will focus on ways risk managers can sell their current programs throughout their organizations.
